I see now why this book divides people. The entire first half is devoted to the physical, mental, and sexual torture of a minor - our titular character Acheron - who for the record is the only reason I am still reading this bullshit series. Unfortunately the writing isn't good enough to make me care, which is sad in and of itself, because I definitely cared during the first few books.
Having read a whole lot of reviews I am hesitant to continue with the rest of the story, because I guarantee I won't like the heroine, and I don't think I will be satisfied with such a conclusion.
Acheron has supposedly gone his whole life feeling nothing for anyone, and we're expected to believe the instalove is real?
No thanks.
Acheron deserves better.
We deserve better.
